After a night with watching school duty, all members of my group were very tired and drowsy. However everyone was excited in the trip to our leader’s hometown – Tay Ninh province. We had one morning to prepare luggage for the trip. At 11:30 pm we gathered in front of our school to depart. There were some troubles so two members were late; therefore the tour was deplayed about 1 hour. At 12:30am the coach started to roll…. Everyone’s expects were released. So excited!
The first place we went is my leader’s house. His house is in a small village, the path leads to there is small, rough and hard to go. Along the path, the weeds are scorched because of the intense heat of summer. Outside, the sun shining signals for a wonderful day to go on a trip. J The house is small with a large yard and big gadern with no vegetables, it has just some big trees and some coconuts. Although the land is barren, coconuts lush with many fruits. We washed our faces and ate some fruits which were very delicious at his home and coutinued our trip.
The second destination was the Holy See. This is the religious architecture of Cao Dai religion. The area of the Holy See is so large with 14 gates. Our leader was a good guider, he introduced all about the place we nwere visiting. We took many photos there
The Main Hall of the Holy See
There is a primary forest in the area of the Holy See. There we can see many monkeys, they sitting near the barrier to beg for food from the people visiting there. Maybe they are familiar with people coming here regularly so they aren’t panic at people.

Next we walked out of the grounds of the Holy See to enjoy a kind of famous food there – rice paper mix. We had to walk quite far to get out of the Holy See and walked not too far to arrive there. Along both sides of the road, rubber trees are planted in straight lines. This place is a beautiful destination for many couples taking wedding photograph. Back to our special dish, this dish is very spicy. Everyone’s lips became red after eating it. How delicious it is! I love this food.
It began to be dark after we had already eaten the food. Our leader called for the driver coming and picking up us to his house for dinner. His parents are very friendly, they prepared everything before we came back. The meal was very hearty, we ate, chatted and sang together.
In night we gathered together in the yard and joked and laughed happily. We played a game called “Tell the truth”. We spilled the bean until mid night. It helped us understand each other and enhanced the solidary in my group.
Next day we woke up at 5:30 am to eat breakfast and prepare everything for climbing mountain. Ba Den mountain is the highest of Southeast of Vietnam. It is famous for the beauty and many lagends. There are cable car system and slide lead to the mountain but we chose walking there to take photo and enjoy the beauty of the mountain.

Pagoda on the moutain.
We went down the mountain by cable car. Sitting in the cabin we can see all the sight under us. Around us, the green covering the ground, the loud moving lightly left the shadow on the ground. The fields gradually appeared clearly. All screamed out comfortably and all troubles gone with the shout and dissolved in the wind.

The final place we visited was Long Hoa market. This is the largest market in Tay Ninh province. There we bought some souvenirs.
The trip has finished, good bye Tay Ninh, we returned to Ho Chi Minh city and brought the beautiful memories of Tay Ninh with our heart.

Comment by Ann Shepovalova on April 5, 2013 at 12:13 Blue, your stories always so excite the imagination, and the words you choose are always get to the point to leave the desire "to change the wind" (as Cong said once): to travel, to help people, to study...
I'd like to visit your country. The pictures are fantastic! Oriental architecture is always associated with something fabulous! Thank you, Blue!
It is important to help students to distinguish between three types of discourses ( Instructive discourse- Descriptive discourse - Narrative discourse) and how is structure and cohesion in narrative discorse. Thanks a lot for this task which helps students to do their best in this activity.Teacher Jamie you are great person thanks a lot to you for this bid effort.

That is an eye :) very interesting symbol. :)

I like the sound of a Funky English trip Ika! I would love to arrange a meetup for members of Funky English in the future. We have members from all over the world - it will be difficult to agree on a location!

I don't know Cao Dai Blue. I read a little about it on Wikipedia. There are just a few million followers in Vietnam. The Cao Dai symbol is very interesting.
