A simile is a figure of speech in which 2 different things are compared. We usually use as or like to make this comparison.
We use similes when we are writing or speaking to make our descriptions more interesting or easier to understand.
Here are some example of simple similes:
That car was as quick as lightning.
Your lips are like sugar.
He's as brave as a lion.
As brave as a lion!
