Well jel!
Tracy: Have you got a new car?
Sharon: Yes! A pink convertible Benz.
Tracy: Wow! I'm well jel!
Well jel - English slang for very jealous. This slang originated in Essex - a county in England. It was made famous after being heard many times on a UK TV show called The Only Way Is Essex.

Jelly beans are good...with many different colours.... but it is not seems to be jelly beans, but another kind of candies that children love to eat. Benz is a kind of car I guess I don't know, I don't know the word Benz but I am jel about this pink car... :) I will go see for a Benz in the Internet....

Jel comes from the word jealous! I used jelly beans because I couldn't find a picture of jealousy. :) Jelly Tots are delicious, jelly sweets covered in sugar!
A Benz is a Mercedes Benz.

Permalink Reply by coco on August 17, 2012 at 20:09 Thank you so much Vero!!! I am not always understand things very well and I have to read it many time to understand the meaning of words well. :) It put me in funny situation very often but sometime it also put me very often in misunderstanding situation... :)

You don't have to be shy! It's great that you ask questions. For every person that asks a question there are usually many more people thinking the same thing but afraid to ask. You need to have an inquisitive mind to learn and you certainly have that.
Interestingly I've always called the Mercedes Benz a Mercedes, but I found that in Thailand people just called it Benz. I wonder why that is?
Permalink Reply by coco on August 20, 2012 at 3:29 Thank you Teacher! As always you are right...I like to learn,,, I find this about Benz , so I summarize (resume) it as well I can... Karl Benz built a Benz car in 1886. Gottlieb Daimler was a German engeneer who also built his first car in 1886 with an other engeneer guy. He formed a rival company to Benz. In 1900, Daimler produce a Mercedes for Jollinek ,and name it Mercedes, it is the name of Jollinek's daughter. The Mercedes was a success. One day Benz and Daimler were forged to merge. The resulting compagny was called DAIMLER BENZ. Their cars became know as Mercedes Benz which is how we know them today....

Thank you! Very interesting. Daimler actually eventually sold the use of his name to a British company and they made high quality cars for many years in the UK.
