Here are some questions about the weather!
Use the vocabulary above to help you answer the questions.
1. What is the weather like right now in your area?
2. What kind of weather do you hate?
3. Have you ever seen any crazy or scary weather?
4. Choose 3 words from above that describe the weather on your perfect day.

Here are my answers.
1. It's cloudy, cool and has been raining a lot recently in England. This is a typical English summer!
2. I hate the rain, especially when it's very cold. It's takes a long time to warm up.
3. When I was younger we had high winds and gales in England. Many trees were blown over and some houses damaged. Our house had no electricity for weeks. :(
4. Sunshine and clear - with a slight breeze.
5. To the beach! Where else? Maybe I'll see you there. :)

It's not much fun. It's been a terrible summer this year.

Permalink Reply by Blue Peace on July 18, 2012 at 17:03 Oh, it's very uncomfortable when having no electricity for a long time like that. What did you use for lighting, warming and charging the laptop? How about the water? Did you have water to use when the electricity outage happened?

For lighting we used candles and had an open fire for warmth! We had water, but only cold water. Lots of cold showers!
This was a time before laptops and mobile phones! We used to have fun without electricity so it was no problem. We missed television - but just a little.

There's always something to do! If there ever isn't - create a blog or discussion yourself. :)
I like your answers to 4 and 5. If the weather is cold and damp - there is no better place to be than tucked up in bed! I had trouble getting up this morning. It's cold and wet again. :(
Do you get floods every year in Indonesia? I seem to remember that happened most years in Thailand. I guess it's because of the tropical weather!

It's terrible that so many more floods happen today because of careless development. Seeing rivers full of rubbish is always a sad sight too. :(

Permalink Reply by coco on July 13, 2012 at 23:03 It is 18.49 here. It was quite warm today and yesterday too and a little cloudy. 2 - I hate when it is too warm in the summer. 3 - No not really but I don't like thunder when it is too much noise in summer, sometime also big storm in winter but nothing really to be afraid of... In this area things are quiet. 4 - Little windy with sunshine and not too hot. 5 -

It's never too warm in the summer in England. I miss the heat of Thailand! How hot does it get for you?
Do you get a lot of thunderstorms in Canada?
Permalink Reply by coco on July 14, 2012 at 14:00 This summer seems to be more warm then last year, here. Sometime in summer, here, we can have 30 or 32 degree celcuis and maybe a little, little more , so it is very hot for me... but usually it is comfortable but I really don't like too much warm. This summer ,we often have some rain, but not a lot of thunderstorms until now. I don't like thunderstorms when they make a lot of big noises, and I don't like the flash of lightning. Big flash of lightning and big noise make me jump so I put sometimes my hands on my ears or my pillow. :) It look like I am a little afraid of it... :) I don't go out during a thinderstorm, just an emergency can make me go out , otherwise I wait until it stop... I afraid that the lightning could hit me. I also really don't like the sound of the thunderstorm but the sound is not dangerous, but the lightning are dangerous... :)

I like watching lightning and listening to thunder. As long as I'm somewhere warm and dry!
We have so much rain this year in England. I think it's rained for about 60 days in a row...
