The Titanic

This year, on April 15th, it is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. The Titanic was a British passenger liner that collided with an iceberg in 1912 and sank. Over 1500 people drowned. The Titanic was on its maiden voyage, sailing from Southampton, England, to New York, America. At the time the Titanic was the largest ship in the world and could carry more than 2000 people.

  • The Titanic was built in Liverpool.
  • There were 13 couples on then Titanic celebrating their honeymoon.
  • Few men were saved from drowning because women and children were allowed on the lifeboats first. Woman and children first.
  • There were 9 dogs on the Titanic. Only 2 survived.
  • The Titanic sank 2 hours and 40 minutes after it hit the iceberg.

Yes I know the story of the Titanic. There was a women her name was Millvina Dean , she was a 9 week old baby as the Titanic was crashing an iceberg and sunk. Millvina Dean died on 31st of May 2009.

She was the last surviving from the Titanic.

I don't like to travel on a ocean liner, I think it is boring. I prefer to take a plan , so I can travel faster an see more fromthe countries which I want to visit. On a ocean liner you can only see water and maybe some birds. I think I would'nt even have the right clothes  because they all wear elegant dresses :)

 Please can you correct me if I have bad mistakes. Thank you in advance. You are the best teacher :)

I have heard the story about Millvina. It's amazing that she lived to such an old age after surviving the Titanic disaster. 

My mother knew the Titanic survivor Eva Hart. Eva Hart was one of the last survivors of the Titanic, she died quite recently in 1996. Eva was only 7 years old when she travelled on the Titanic with her parents. Her mother survived but her father drowned. I also enjoy travelling by plane. I would probably need to buy a dinner suit to travel on an ocean liner too!

I know the story from the movie and I watched some story from TV.Programe but I didn't pay attention it.

Yeah!  I seen this movie about 14 years ago.

I don't have much more information about this  travel . I think I didn't like to stay at the place cover the sea. ( But I would love to stay at stranded on a Island. That is very challenge )

Altough It has so many activities there It is very boring. I don't like the life style in Titanic.

It's quite scary to be on a ship on the ocean. Floating on a boat miles from land makes us feel very small, especially when the ocean is so big and so deep!
