Seasons
A season is a period of the year when the weather changes and in some cases the days become longer or shorter. In tropical countries there are 2 seasons - the dry season and the wet season. In other parts of the world - including the UK, USA and Russia - there are four seasons. Let's take a look at these 4 very different seasons!
A horse in the winter snow
Winter
Winter is the cold season. In many countries the temperature is very low and snow is common. The days are often shorter in winter - there is less sunlight! You have to take care when walking or driving because there may be ice on the ground. Winter is a great time for making a snowman or getting under your duvet and reading a good book!
Daffodils in the springtime
Spring
Spring is the season when the plants and flowers start to grow again after the cold winter. The flowers start to bloom and the countryside looks green again! Many animals wake from their winter hibernation and people are happier because warmer weather is on its way. Spring is the perfect time for long walks in the fresh green countryside.
Summer on the beach
Summer
Summer is the hot and sunny time of the year. It's when the sky is blue and the days are longer. People can dress in fashionable and light summer clothes - shorts and t-shirts! Many of us take holidays in the summer; visiting the beach or going for a swim. This is best way to cool down.
Autumn leaves
Autumn (Fall in America)
Autumn is the time of the year when the leaves on the trees turn golden brown. The days start getting shorter and the evenings start getting darker. The weather also starts getting colder, although it's usually pleasantly warm until winter starts. Autumn is also the time to harvest your plants and when animals stock up food for the winter!

I saw your pictures - the scenery looks lovely. I can see the blossom and the green fields. It's a great sight after winter. I actually uploaded some photos earlier too, you can see the blue sky and rain clouds together. I think the spring here is very similar. Today we had blue sky, rain showers and a beautiful rainbow! In England we are having April showers this month - it seems a rain shower is always just around the corner. Are there April showers in Austria too?

Yes , we have April showers nearly every day. Currently the sun is shining :) From my living room window, I can see the snow -covered mountains ....

I had already reply to this topic, so I just want to talk about the autumn. We have here the four seasons. We are now in the begenning of the autumn. The autumn start here today between the 21th and 22th of september. The weather is still nice here but it is began to be more fresh now but with the time it will come cooler. The day also start slowly getting shorter and the evening start slowly to getting darker. The leaves will change of different shades of colours pretty soon. People are slowly began to prepare for the winter and some I think are already ready.

We are at the beginning of autumn in England too Coco. It's much cooler today and the rain has just arrived. The evenings start to get darker very quickly! It feels like winter will soon be here.

there are 4 season in Mongolia. I think the Ulaanbaatar, which is Mongolian capital city is coldest city in the world :D. I like all season. I think every season have own beauty.
