For our next set of Funky English questions we shall talk about the Olympics! This year - 2012 - the Olympics are being held in London in England.
The Olympic rings in London
The Olympics are a global (worldwide) sporting event. The summer Olympics are held every 4 years. The Olympic opening ceremony (an event, a traditional celebration) will take place at the Olympic Stadium on the 27th July 2012. Competitors (people who take part in a competition) in the Olympics take part in many different sports, from archery (shooting a bow and arrow into a target) to weightlifting. Here are 5 Funky questions about the Olympic Games!

Mr Bean was the funniest part in the Olympic opening ceremony! I am amazed how popular he is all around the world.
I've never been good at running. I was a slow runner at school. Perhaps I should have arrived at school late to get more practice!

Russia have a very strong Olympic team. They are usually one of the top teams in the Olympic medal table. Who do you think is the best Russian athlete in the games? Who should I look out for?

1. My favourite event is the athletics. I always enjoy the 100m race and the relays.
2. People in England love the athletics, tennis and football. Many other events such as cycling and rowing are very popular this year.
3. I think England has a good chance in the cycling events and rowing events.
4. London has held the Olympics 3 times! It is the only city to have done this.
5. I would probably be a tennis player or swimmer because these are the sports I enjoy the most.
That's right Vero. Bradley Wiggins won the Tour de France. I saw him (very briefly) on Saturday as he cycled past me on the Olympic road race.
The weather has been pretty bad in England recently. I'm sure people will get used to the rain. I guess in some events it might be useful for people who come from colder countries!
I love swimming in the sea. It's my favourite place to relax! On a hot day I could lie in the sea all day long. I think once you get confident swimming you will enjoy swimming in the sea too!
